Improving hospital systems and processes

A 150 bedded hospital in a tier 3 city realized they had dead stocks of approximately Rs.19 lakhs in their pharmacy. The Gap Analysis & subsequent re-implementation helped them reduce it to Rs.3 lakhs. More than 80% of our clients have been able to reduce dead stock & streamline their pharmacy operations. Helped a client track Rs.5 lakhs worth suspense account entries.

A client tracked the outstanding amount of Rs. 7 lakhs accrued over more than 5 years. They have adopted measures to reduce it on a war footing basis by assigning roles and responsibilities module.

We have helped our clients put in place processes to ensure proper collection of bills/ advances with In-patients, reducing burden on customers at discharge and ensuring timely collection and improving room utilization. Digitized lab reagent usage logs enabling the clients to keep track of the reagent levels.

Our client, a 150 bedded hospital in tier 3 city was able to run the pharmacy better when they busted the tie up of store in charge and supplier. Ensuring processes are being followed at the cash counter; we were able to help our clients improve their cash collection by 25% after the re-implementation just by ensuring that the process is followed.

Improved collections have been reported by other clients too. Helped several clients regulate the user permission of employees eliminating chances of pilferage or malpractices, reduce administration time and effort thus creating satisfied patients, happy employees and a profitable organisation.

AMC documents changed from cumbersome books to digitized form to bring considerable monetary savings.  Reduced payroll preparation time from 3-4 days to half a day and quicker reconciliation of insurance claims.

All of these points might have been covered during implementation. Why go over them again? Just to make sure processes are in place and have not fallen back to old ways due to lack of follow up.
